I have been running into a bit of a problem here for the past couple of days. I am given the following error when I try to click on many of the items in the Installation Designer menu:

Exception ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005)
at address 0x73dd3eba trying to read address 0x0000001d.

The items that give me problems are:
-Update Service
-Internet Information Services
-Custom Actions
-System Search
-Patch Design
-MSI Debugger
-Any of the tables in the MSI Direct Editor

I also get a "Stop Statement Encountered" message when I click on the Property Manager. This warning is coupled with one of those little white squares that contains a smaller blue square, red circle, and green triangle, like it can't load an image. I get the same image when I click on Path Variables, sans the warning message.

If I uninstall InstallShield, then reinstall it, things work for a while. However, after doing this three times in as many days, it would be nice if I could figure out how to get around the problem entirely. Any ideas as to how I can fix this? Or perhaps you have seen/heard of this issue before?
