I generally understand the concepts behind creating an upgrade, but I've received an error when I run the package that says another version is already installed.

The packages have different package IDs, same product IDs, same upgrade codes, and I have defined the SecureCustomProperties key.

The row in my upgrade table is of the form:

UpgradeCode:  {GUID}
MinVersion:  2.21
MaxVersion:  2.21
Attributes:  773
ActionProperty:  OLDAPPFOUND

2.21 is the only other MSI install version of the product.

Any suggestions?

Hrm...  it would seem that it will do this by design.  I would think that there would be a better way to do it than having a meaningless dialogue popup.

Looking at what you've got in the upgrade table, it looks like you are doing a major upgrade.  Try changing the product code of the new package and see how it goes.
