Hi..

I am newbies in installshield.
I am currently using InstallshieldX.

I have a dialog named OptionShortcut. This dialog is meant to ask user whether they want to create Desktop shortcut and Desktop Launch shortcut.

After building my project and tested it out. I find out that the dialog only appears during new installation. During minor upgrade, the dialog is not shown.

Is there any way to set this properties of the Dialog?
I need your help.
I welcomed any suggestion.

You need to insert your dialog both in the InstallWelcome dialog sequence and in the MaintenanceWelcome dialog sequence.

How to add the option shortcut dialog in both Install welcome and Maintenance Welcome sequence?

Followings are the sequence in mu User Interface --> Dialog:

InstallWelcome
LicenseAgreement
MaintenanceType
MaintenanceWelcome
OptionShortcut --> the dialog that I want to show both on New installation and upgrade.

Usually you would mofify the behaviour of the NExt button of a dialog to point to your option dialog.

Hi stefan, I just realised that MaintenanceWelcome dialog is only shown when you install the same version twice, not when you upgrade the version.

So only when I click the same version twice, I will show the Option Dialog again.
If I did an upgrade, it will not show the OptionShortcut.

In an upgrade I think you will see the Resume dialog.
