Hi,

I'm using ISX3.03 to build an install... but I think this should be a windows installer question.

I have an install and I want to replace just one file. The install used ISX
3.03 and constructed a CD image without compression. Hence I can take the CD
image, find the file and replace it, and I've updated the install without
needing to rebuild it. Will this work OK?

I've have tried it, and it did seem to work even though the changed file was
a newer date and different size to that used when the install was built.

I ask the question because it just seems odd that the install didn't keep
any record of the file dates and sizes in order to stop this sort of thing
(eg a file getting infected with a virus).

Does anyone know what the expected behaviour is?

TIA
Jonathan
