I am trying to read a couple of files that the installer copied into <SUPPORTDIR>. How can I do this the files seem to be in a .cab file?

Yes, by default items are compressed into a CAB format.  You would need to change your Media configuration to exclude those items from compression.

You are probably currently copying them to some subdirectory under
<Projectdir>\Compressed Files

Instead, prior to the build, copy the files to <Projectdir>\Uncompressed Files\Language Independent
then you can access them from SUPPORTDIR, and they will not be compressed.

Yeap, I thought about at the time, but forgot to mention it.  Thanks BMW.
