Transparent Bitmaps as static controls

I'm wondering how you can make a bitmap that you add to a dialog as a static control have transparency in Windows Installer. I see that there's an installscript command, "PlaceBitmap" that's able to achieve this, but I'm wondering if there's a way to set up this property in the standard IDE. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
