I have to do one installation over the already existing one,with different GUID.Both have same components and folder structure,but only the files will differ.If I try to uninstall anyone, will the folder which is common to both will be deleted.I haven't tried,as I have only limited
time I want to know whether it will be a problem.Now I am developing installation code.Any help will be appreciated.

No, the common folder won't be removed until the original install (a.k.a. the full install) has been removed since that's what created it to begin with.
The only updates only made use of the existing folder, so they won't remove it.
There's other stuff to deal with though, so hopefully that IS has some good examples for you.
