I defined a CA in a merge module (type 3170) that calls an external .EXE (unlodctr.exe to unload permon counters) which sits in the system folder.
The CA gets called during normal script execution, I want it only as a rollback. I checked the CusomAction table using ORCA and verified that its type is 3170.
Why is this CA getting called during a normal install where no rollback occurrs?

Change the type to 1378.
3170 isn't rollback execution, it's "deferred execution in system context"

Thanks, I set the number to 3426 and it worked. The rollback bit was not set like I has earlier thought
