PLEASE HELP ME -TREAT THIS URGENT

Incase of .ipr files created using Install Sheild we can obtain the details about the components and all the files from the .cdf and .fgl files respectively.

In a similar manner is there a way to obtain the details about the components and all the files from an .ism file.

The tool i have come across to open an .ism file is InstallSheild for Windows installer. Is there a way to open an .ism file as a text similar to .ipr files?

Thanks in advance

Build the install.

You now have an msi file.

Open this with Orca (freely available from Microsoft).

Export the Component and File tables. The idt files are easily processed.  Alternately you can use msi database commands to read from the msi file directly.
