Hi,
I need to include JRE 1.4.2_08 in my installer.
The InstallShield Object for JRE 1.4.2 in IS 10.5 is 1.4.2_03
Can I just replace C:\Program Files\InstallShield 10.5\ObjectsPro\JRE 1.4.2 Object\Data\j2re-1_4_2_03-windows-i586-p.exe with j2re-1_4_2_08-windows-i586-p.exe, or does InstallShield use the hardcoded name and this requires a new object?
I tried to update objects from the InstallShield website, but the documentation does not say which flavor of JRE I will be getting, only that it is JRE 1.4.2. I don't want to install it if it isn't the version I need.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the executable name is hard coded. But I think you can download the object templates and create a new object based on the existing JRE object.
