Hi,
I using IS11.5 , and trying to install a filter driver to a AMD64 system.
I used the IS device driver wizard and in it added the sys, inf and cat.

When running the installation, files were moved to the right location, but registry was NOT updated. (the ini contains an AddReg section with the changes)

When I try to install the driver manually (right click on the ini, and install) the driver is installed successfully...

Sorry if you already did this, but did you try to plug in the device after installing the DIFx package? I believe the files are not really installed as such, but pre-cached ready to be installed when a matching device is plugged into an USB port (if it is an USB device).

Glytzhkof, its a disk filter device driver (not USB).

I guess that would be a kernel mode driver then. Your best bet is an MSDN-digging session in that case I am afraid. I have heard that there are special considerations when installing to 64bit systems.
