Hi,

I've created a DLL that is used to search for some products in the user's machine.
But each time my installer calls the DLL it gives the error 1723.

I've my function in the def file. It only works in certain machine. On a fresh machine without any products(product in which the DLL is suppose to find) installed. It fails.

And it also fails on Virtual machine. even with the products installed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I guess your DLL depends on some other file (or maybe a newer version of some file), like MFC. Use Dependency Walker to load your DLL on the failing machine and it should tell you what's missing.

Thanks. Found the missing dependency using depends.
It's working fine now!
