Hello All, 

I'm working on a completely new installer for our product using InstallShild 2011 Premium edition.

 

I want to be able to detect any previous version of the application installed on the user's machine and force an uninstall before continuing with my new installation. 

 

The question is how to do this from within my new MSI installer project when the previous versions of the application were installed using a different MSI. I'm changing the product ID, as we don't want any connection to the previous installations or installer

 

I have the previous MSI and MSI project used for building the previous versions of the installer.

Add a Major Upgrade item in Media > Upgrades and enter the UpgradeCode of the old version.
