Hi all,
Is there any prescribed and recommended method to mapping Windows version resources which have a format of aa,bb,cc,dd into the MSI version format of aa.bb.cccc?
Do I throw away one of the Windows version numbers, or maybe concatenate cc,dd into cccc?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You could do both. The idea in Windows Installer is that your version has four fields, but the last field is just a build version and doesn't matter for your product version. So you would "throw it away". However if that build version is important to you then you cuold combine them.
