Ok, got one more question, does anyone know how to set a custom property such that it's value exists in the MSI database during uninstallation? I am using ALL CAPS which creates a public property, but the value of the property is reset to the default after the application is installed. Thanks.

I write the information to a registry key, then reset the property at uninstallation time.
I'm not sure if there are any more elegant solutions out there.
