How can I avoid this error message:"Please wait while Windows configures [ProductName]..."

(The error message is in error table:

This is non trivial.

Write your own setup.exe.
Install an ExternalUI handler.
Now you can choose to process that message or not.
I have never done this so I can not help you further.  The required information is in the msi documentation..

There is no need to do this.  In my opinnion most users are happy to see standard messages.  If your aim is a completely silent install this can be achieved with suitable command line options.

That's not an error message. It's a progress or status message telling users that Windows Installer is doing its duty.
If your problem is that this message is displayed although you didn't start an install for that product name, then there may be something wrong in your setup design. (In this case the message indicates an auto repair)
