Hi,
I created two .msp files: Patch_001.msp and Patch_002.msp
The .msp setup files contains a property named PATCH_NUMBER and its value is 001 and 002 Respectively.
Among other things, I use this property to display the current patch number installed in the patch dialogs.
I install the patch files in the following order:
1) Patch_001.msp -> PATCH_NUMBER=001 -> Screens are displayed as expected with the correct patch number
2) Patch_002.msp -> PATCH_NUMBER=002 -> Screens are displayed as expected with the correct patch number
3) Reinstall Patch_001.msp -> Now the property PATCH_NUMBER value is 002 (and not 001 as expected) and the dialogs are displayed with wrong patch number!
Why? How to Setup detects that a later version installed and uses its values?
Please advice,
Thanks,

Does patch 001 actually get re-applied in this scenario?
