What is the way to go here?
I am used to setting up a component that goes to a specific location regardless of the operating system.

I need to install a group of files to the c:\windows\fonts directory if the operating system is Windows 98 or I need to install the group of files to c:\winnt\fonts directory if the operating system is WinNT or Windows 2000. (i.e. Not Windows 98)

Use <WINDIR>\Fonts.
That'll work for both as it automatically picks up the location of Windows regardless of whethr it's Win9x or WinNT/2k.
