Hi friends,
Is there any way for creating a installer on the fly in a web based envoirment,ie creating installer based on users selections dynamically . Also please please tell me if InstallShield is providing any set of APIs.If Install Shield is not providing APIs what other installation authoring software is providing APIs.

What do you mean by creating an installer on the fly?

Install Shield/Windows installer can accept user selections and set properties accordingly.

Windows Installer provides an API to change things like this and there are also many build in actions to help you out.

Hi Freinds,

I need a installation software like this.

Suppose a person is running a online store selling a software.The major feature of that software is that customers can change its appearance before he or she buys it (ie,changing the background image or anything). The installer creating software have to create an installer depending on the changes made by the customer.
