Hi

I need to launch a java appliaction from start->programs.
The code is working fine for winnt,2000 ,but for win98 the shorcut link is not able to open the application.

the problem is
start-in directory information for the shorcut link is not set.But for winnt it is set.

The shorcut referes to a bat file ,the shorcut launched the batch file but since the start in directory is not set,the program is not able to launch it.

Any one help me on this.

I have an install that works fine doing what I believe you are describing in all 3 environments: 98/nt/2000

What do you have in the following:
Look in the project under:
The Resources Tab
  Shell Objects
     Start Menu
        Programs
           .....
For that icon under the "Start In" line.

I know I may be stating the obvious above, but reply with what you have and maybe I can see something or suggest something to try.

What I have in the "Start In" line has never failed to appear where it should in the shortcut.

If it matters: I am running 6.22
Also, my installation has the following in the Start In line:
<TARGETDIR>\formation\design
