How to add Windows Managment Instrumentarium (WMI) to my installation. I'm trying to add external .exe (wmicore.exe) as setup prerequisite, but the silent installation returns FALSE. How can I add it?

WMI is always installed on Windows 2000 and higher, it is part of the OS. Maybe some files are under Windows System File protection.
On Windows NT 4, you should run the redistributable. Note that WMI is much more than one exe. I believe it requires SP6, so you should check for that as well. The redistributable is free, but I'm not sure if it's still available (Microsoft support for NT 4 is limited nowadays).
WMI is not available for Windows 9x.
