Is it possible to accomplish using only standard actions (i.e. without custom actions) that during the uninstall the user will be prompted to either preserve or delete data files that the application have created after the installation, i.e. the data files are not a feature/component? There is a registry key that specifies the location to the directory that contains data files. If it is possible, I would appreciate an example or any clue. Thank you in advance!

MSI will uninstall what it has installed (unless marked "permanent"). Conditionally removing additional files will require a custom action.
