I'm having problems incorporating the MSXML4SP1 merge module into my installer.
All is fine when installing as power user on other platforms, but on XP, two extra components in the merge module are enabled (both want to install into SXS:System whatever that is - .NET stuff?).
MSIExec reports "An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6088EEBDB}. HRESULT: -2147024891"
The HRESULT in hex is 80070005.
I really want my installer to run as poweruser and MS responses in the various ms.public newgroups have been totally unhelpful on the theme "forcing administrative login for installation is OK".

For delivering msxml4sp1 Merge Module to WinXP, I had to insert the Standard Action "MSIPublishAssemblies" into the sequence (I put it after InstallInitialize).  I have no .NET code, and don't deliver the .NET Framework, but it needed this for the XP install.
