My problem is, when I uninstall an update/service release, the entire base product "file tree" is removed.

Hello all, I've recently updated from IS7 to IS8.
My problem is, when I uninstall an update/service release, the entire base product "file tree" is removed.

Hi,
Patch removal is not supported in actual versions of Windows Installer, you must completly remove your product and re install it to be in the same state as a patch removal.
The patch removal feature will be available in MSI 3.0.
