My application delivers driver system files into Winnt\system32 (NT/W2K) and Windows\System(98/ME).  When uninstall the application, these files are not removed from the folder except for W2K and ME.

I have set these files as key component.

How can I generate log on NT and 98?
I tried the following:
  msiexec /i product.msi /L*v log txt
Received error "Incorrect command line parameters.  Window Installer. V1.20.1827.0...."

Also, I added these files in the RemoveFile table but  it still does not remove during uninstall.  Is the RemoveFile action called in Uninstallation process?

Any helps are appreciated.  TIA

I find it easier to set the policy in the registry for logfiles.  You can then have a log whenever something unexpected happens.

If your product.msi has a space in the name you will need to use quotes.
