Hello,
I get a problem, at the moment only on XP
- Installation of a product with WI 3.1
- Upgrade to WI 4.5
- Upgrade of the produkt
-> Error message:
The Windows Installer was stopped.
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.
The different ways to repair the "damaged" WI have not been successfull.
A new installation of that product was successfull. But that's not the solution for my customers.
Does someone has heard about such a problem, too?

A file/registry/process monitor such as ProcMon is the only realistic way to determine what's happening.
