My company is currently using InstallShield 5.5 for all their installs.
We are now interested in migrating to a newer version and are wondering about Developer. Is it worth moving up to this version, or should I stick with Professional 6.3.1 for now?
Since many of you are familiar with both applications, I was hoping someone could give their honest opinion on which version they recommend.

Hi,
if you have a "time critical" project you should update to IS6.3 because there are not so many changes and you feel more familar.
If you update to ISD7.01 (the 7.01 is very important, because 7.0 is buggy) there are a lot of changes and you have to learn more - but you have also new possibilities...
I'm using 6.22 and 7.01 and also worked with the 5.1. For creating fast results I'm still using 6.22 but for the new projects I'm now using ISD
Hope that helps
Greetings
