Hallo Installshield-Gemeinde,
ich habe hier ein kleineres Problem, an dem ich mir aber schon die Zähne ausgebissen habe.
Installshield 8.0
ein kleineres InstallScript MSI-Projekt.
Installation und Deinstallation 100% in Ordnung
Wählt man aber im Wartungsmode "Repairen", so "stürzt" das Setup im ComponentReinstall() Aufruf (mit Debugger ermittelt) mit einem Fehler "1628: Failed to complete Installation" ab.
Das Verbose.log zeigt meiner Meinung nach KEINEN Fehler:
1: InstallShield script openned successfully.
1: Ready to initialize full UI support.
1: Ready to initialize the script...
1: Opening cab file...
1: Registering cab file...
1: Invoking __ISRTInit...
1: Invoking __ISWIMsiHandle...
1: Invoking __SetMaintenance...

1: __ISRTSetComponentLog...
1: Invoking __ISWIInit...
1: Setting external UI handler...
1: Creating file moniker...
1: Getting running object table...
1: Registering service to ROT table...
1: Marshalling IDriver for RPC service...
1: Ready to launch __OnMsiMaintenance.

Warum stellst du deine Frage dann unter "InstallShield Professional 7" und nicht unter "InstallScript MSI"? Ich verschiebe die Frage ins richtige Forum.

Schreib mal ein MSI-Log. 1628 is ein MSI-Fehler.
