I am working with an application which needs a large number of shortcuts to the same EXE with different parameters. Is there a tool/script which can assistin in this task? The information for the shortcuts is currently in an Excel spreadsheet. Ideally I would like to auto-generate all of the shortcuts. Thank you in advance.

Depends on which installation technology that you are using. WiX (which I use and have found to be very good) builds installers using XML files as input, so you could create a shortcut fragment which could be generated by a script that would translate your csv file (you would be saving the file as a csv to save yourself some trouble right?).

If u have all the info in Excel, just copy the rows from Excel and Paste it in the shortcuttable using ORCA 3 (ctrl+shift+v).
Hope this helps
