I have written an InstallShield project (using Developer Version 7). Some testers have found problems rebooting their machine after uninstalling the project.
It seems that the BOOT.ini file has been deleted so that the machine cannot reboot.
Has anyone else seen/heard of this problem? Or does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be happening?

We have seen this when using a response transform generated by Tuner to install Documentum. When the install was logged, it clearly shows that boot.ini (as well as all other files in the root of C:\) were deleted during action "ISSetupFilesCleanup". I found that by setting a public property SUPPORTDIR (created dynamically by IS during MSI installation) and setting it to a non-exsistent folder like c:\winnt\temp\msi solved the problem. You must make it a non-existent subfolder as the entire folder is deleted.
