Hi All,
I am facing a problem with my installation in Win 95 (4.00.950). I do not face this problem on Win 95 OSR2 or Win98 etc.
I get an error 1603 and the appropriate section of the log file is

Did you get a reply to this posting? I have a similar problem that I am trying to find a solution for.
On a W2K machine with MSI2.0 and ISScript7 installed,
trying to install Symantec Antivirus 8.0. If I log in as an admin user, the install runs successfully, however, if I log in as a gumby user and run the install as the W2K System user, the log file reports a failure by the custom action ISMSIServerStartup - error code 3 is returned. The log file I receive is similar to what you got....
Anyone have an idea?
