Hi All,

i used the search-function but didn't find much :-(

Is it allowed/recommended to change the Productcode of a Package in a Transform? I read that one should only change the product code when there was a major change to the package. But what is considered to be a "major change"?
Is there some kind of a styleguide for such matters?

One use of transforms to modify the product code is to support multiple product instances on Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP SP 1: perhaps see the MSI Help Library section Using Windows Installer > Installing Multiple Instances of Products and Patches.
