I have heard that Developer 7, Devstudio 9, X, come with a newer version of package for the web (newer than 4.0).
Is it available to be ran as a stand-alone after the build was complete or can it be ran only as part of the build?
I have some "extra" subdirectories and files that i would like to be placed together with the .msi once setup.exe extracts to a temporary directory.
On another note, have anyone tried using package for the web 4.0 on an .msi file? how do you make package fro the web 4.0 wait for the .msi file to finish?

They don't come ewith a newer version of PackageForTheWeb, but instead have built in capability to create a self extracting exe. Therefore it's part of the build process.
PFTW 4 is still available if you want to use it instead.
