Does any have any information on the error message in the title?
It occurs when trying to run a patch and then exact wording was:
Internal Error 2356: Data1.Cab

according to the MSI help this error is "Couldn't locate cabinet in stream". if the cabinet name is preceded by a number sign it is stored in the data stream inside the package ( this also makes the name of the cabinet case-sensitive so please watch and match cases ).
if you have not preceded the cabinet name with a # sign then it is stored as a separate file external to the msi ( located in the root directory of the source tree. in this case it is required that you use a 8.3 filename and the cabinet data type can not use the shortname | longname syntax.
is the cabinet stored internally or externally and are the conditions required being met ? because patching sometimes requires access to the original source files are they still available ?

Hi
If you created the Patch with the Patch wizard try
setting the condition on the versions to 'Don't check'
and they try the patch.
I assume you followed all the other rulls for patching.
