Quick question:

What do the various flags for REINSTALLMODE mean (i.e. REINSTALLMODE=vamus) I know the 'a' means to overwrite all files regardless of version... how about the others? What other values are valid for the REINSTALLMODE tag?

REINSTALLMODE is one of the standard properties known by Windows Installer. Simply have a look in the documentation! This docu is contained in the Microsoft installer SDK, in the Microsoft developer network, online on Microsofts MSDN and it's also delivered by Installshield with ISWi or Developer. Please read the documentation BEFORE askig questions like that.
In Microsofts docu for Windows installer there's one page containing exactly what you are looking for. Search for "REINSTALLMODE Property" in the documentation.
