Hi,

i have come across an issue i didnt think existed today.

I recaptured a SETUP.EXE into an MSI

on installing all works lovely but

there is no entry in

HKLEY\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT VERSION\UNINSTALL

I need this entry to be present for SCCM checking purposes.

Can anyone advise if this should be present by default?

if not is the best way just to add it manually into the registry?

Thank you

Make sure you are looking at the correct registry location.  You don't mention the OS or the bitness of your installer but there are 2 places where you can go for this information depending on the bitness.  32-bit installers on 64-bit OSs will put the expected key under the WOW6432Node.

Conversely, 64-bit installers on 64-bit OSs will put the same information in the path you listed.
