More acquisitions in the IT administration market

Several acquisitions have taken place or are about to happen in the IT administration tools market. Here’s a summary:

myITforum acquired by TechTarget (April 30, 2004)
myITforum is a leading community site for Windows systems administrators seeking to find answers and share knowledge and ideas. They have been acquired by TechTarget, an IT media and events company. Rod Trent, the founder of myITforum.com, is joining TechTarget as the Communities Editor.

Marimba to be acquired by BMC Software (April 29, 2004)
BMC and Marimba announced on April 29th that the two companies have signed a definitive merger agreement in which BMC will acquire Marimba for a purchase price of $8.25 per share in cash. Novadigm acquired by HP (April 2, 2004)
Novadigm Inc. is the maker of Radia, a policy-based change and configuration management software. Novadigm will become part of HP’s Software Global Business Unit. Their products will be further integrated with the HP OpenView management software portfolio.

ON Technology acquired by Symantec (February 13, 2004)
On February 13, 2004, Symantec Corporation acquired the technology and interests of ON Technology Corporation. ON Technology is a maker of software distribution and configuration management tools.

A correction about myITforum:
While myITforum was led (in continues to be led) by Rod Trent, it was founded by Altiris. The following information is no longer available at altiris.com but it's still in Google's cache of that page:
