hi,
Having troubles with an application which after installation loads technician information.  On reboot the msi checks itself,  seeing that it is different from it's parent it reinstalls itself and removes all config and data.  Is there a way to disable the repair functionality of the msi while leaving the remaining msi fully functional.  or is there another way to fix this issue,  any help would be greatly appriciated.

Hi,
Windows Installer executes a repair mode if the key file is corrupted. For example, if A file set as a key file in the project and after installation this file has been removed/moved/... then Windows Installer runs a repair mode to restore this file. You can avoid this to don't set this file as a key file in the project. In this case Windows Installer doesn't care about any manipulation with this file.
