Hi All.
I use the IS MSI project of InstallShield X. My project includes the Patch option...
Each time when I Build a patch, I received the following error:
"The setup needs to perform a Major Upgrade of the previous setup specified. However, the Upgrade Code for the previous setup {xxxxx-xxxx...} is not in the upgrade table. An upgrade will not occur. Val003"
I performed the Resolution "F" of Q108857, but it's has not solved this problem... , I get this error again and again.
Furthermore, the required Upgrade Code appears in the Upagrade Table...
I don't understand what a problem?
somebody can help me???? Please!!!!

If you ignore the waring, does your upgrade work?
Note:
1. Major Upgrades are typically not shipped in the form of a patch but a full msi package.
2. I've seen reports of problem with patches as well as Major Upgrdes (in the form of full install packages) with the "InstallScrtipt MSI" project type. I'm using "Basic MSI" instead.
3. You're combining 1 & 2, so I'm not sure this can work at all.

No, unfortunately it's not working .
Are you using the "Basic MSI" for patch?
Is it work ok?
