I have set the ALLUSERS=2 property in my msi. The package installs fine with shortcuts appearing in the profiles of all users on that machine. However, on launching the application through the shortcut, throws up an error message "Access denied". I understand that this problem is coming because that user doesn't have privelege to that problem but what is the use of providing this option if it doesn't work!! I tried even the elevated privelege option but it doesn't work. Anyone who has faced with similar problems please help.

Check 'Permissions' in file properties dialog in the component you're installing and try to set them manually to 'Generic all'
