Hi all,
Does anyone know where the value of INSTALLDIR is kept?
I want to load it with the value of a property (which is a registry key value).
I tried putting the property name against GeneralInformation-project properties-Destinationfolder but to no avail.
Is it possible to do this?

INSTALLDIR is a key to the directory table. Directories are not quite the same as properties. If you want to set it use a Type 35 Custom Action or call MsiSetTargetPath.

I should add there are lots of implications if you attempt to change the directory during an upgrade or are installing for another user so take care,
