How do I call an uninstallation of the previous version when my new installation is run?

I have an installation kit rewritten for Windows Installer. The previous version was written using IS 6.

Search for registry value UninstallString under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{Your Guid}
Yoiu can do this with AppSeach, RegLocator. UninstallString is a command line to execute the uninstall routine.

I found that one, but it prompts to see if I am sure that I would like to remove the existing software. I haven't been able to get it to uninstall silently so far.
