Hi,

My installation has a feature which doesn't have any release flags and therefore will be always installed.
I've added the xml3 merge module into this feature but it is not installed. I've searched the computer for msxml3.dll but found only msxml.dll. Why?

I found discussions of this in the InstallShield newsgroups (before their demise). It appears there's a bug in the Microsoft merge module. The workaround is to create a dummy subfeature of the feature you want to have include xml3, and associate the merge module with that subfeature.

I've been dealing with this too, but now I'm having merge errors. I'd like to hear if you have success with this.

I encounter this problem also. I thought this MSM was not compatible with W2K Server (which is my reference platform).
