I read a thread posted on this site which stated that,
selecting remove from the Add/Remove Programs panel is designed to run an un-installation with basic UI - that little dialog box you see.). This is how Microsoft designed the Add /Remove applet to run. Is there a property or registry setting that one can change to make the un-install run with the full UI.

None that I'm aware of. You can however disable the Remove button so users have to go through Modify and then select uninstall on your maintenance welcome dialog (i.e. full UI)
