Company develops 2 products, and both install a file called detplan.dll. My product install uses installshiled for windows installer 2.0 and another teams product uses installshiled 7. It seem as though the installshiled 7 install respects date on files with identical versions, but my windows installer install does not replace the older dated detplan.dll with a newer version, and this causes obvious problems with my product. How can I make an Windows Installer Installation check the date on the .dll if the versions are identical.

Please read MSI Help topic "File Versioning Rules" for information how Microsoft has defined the overwrite conditions in Windows Installer.
