my application is using excel object (Set objExcel = New Excel.Application) and i added the excel9.olb in the installer. but if the client machine does not have excel, it fails to create the object ..
is there any way to check what other files are required in order to work the program even if the client has no excel installed on the machine ?

If you want to run Excel on the target machine I believe it has to be installed.
