Hi chaps,
Another problem I've been finding is that any files I set to be key files do not get removed from the hard drive after an uninstall. There's no error message to indicate that the installer has had a problem at that point either.
The install was made with DevStudio 9 and I'm happy to not have any key files (since I don't make use of them) except I understand that they are vital for binary difference patches. If this is true I may need to re-think my strategy and figure out how to uninstall them.
Has anyone come across this sort of roblem or know what can be done?
Regards,
Gareth

They should uninstall. Are you testing on a clean machine? Otherwise the problem might be caused by remnants of a previous install.
Generate a verbose log of the uninstall to diagnose the problem (http://www.msifaq.com/a/1022.htm)
