What am I doing wrong?

What I'm doing is this:

1. I created an entry in the Directory Table that has the following values:

Directory        Directory_Parent    DefaultDir
LogFolder      TARGETDIR         Log:.

2. I create an entry in the CreateFolder Table that lists "LogFolder" in the
first column and the component I want it to be created with in the other.

The install runs successfully, but the empty "Log" directory is not created. I tried having "Log" and ".:Log" instead of "Log:.", but that had the same results. The help mentioned something about having the Directory value be the same name as a property, so I created a property of the same name. Still no luck.

Try uppercase like
LOG_FOLDER      TARGETDIR     Log

Using Author in IS AdminStudio3 (which is apparently the same as IS Developer) you can create a whole structure of empty directories extremely quickly and easily in the Files view.  Just right click and create directory!!
