My program is creating a user and a project folder. When these folders are created, they got the standard look.
I want to add my firms logo to these folders.

How can this be done? Any ideas?

I think there's a hidden ini file inside the folder that controls this. Should be documented in MSDN.

Hidden ini-files?
How can I do these changes?
Is there no way to this in Installshield?
How is this done in Windows XP on folders as My music or my documents?

Does anybody know any other programs that I can include in my setup to change the icons on the folders?

Please check MSDN to find out whether this information is in desktop.ini or elsewhere. desktop.ini is a hidden file, you can see it if you turn on the option to display hidden files in Windows Explorer.
InstallShield has function to modify ini files, registry, etc. So once you found out what you need to change, we should be able to help you how to do it in InstallShield.

I've created a desktop.ini file and an icon, that I've saved in the same folder as I want the changes to be done.
I've got a desktop.ini file and an icon that I wanted to replace the standard folder icon. But still no changes.

Does anyone have any examples om how this is done? I've done it as it is described in the link above, but it does not change the icon...

Check the settings of those files, they may need to be "invisible"

Thanks for your help.
Now it works as it's supposed to.
I had to make my folder a systemfolder, and not just the desktop.ini file.

:-)

I've used this product with success:

I just don't like that it forces you to include a .ini file (I think, anyway, haven't used it in a while).

Thanks for all help. My folders are now personalized with my icons.

I've got another problem regarding icons on folders.

If I install my user and projectfolders under C:\Program Files\... the folders doesn't change. Is there a way around the program files folder?

I can change the i icon on a folder under program files, by changing the icon under properties for the folder. But I can't customize it with my own icon during installation with installshield.

The folders are filefolders, not systemfolders.

Anyone knows how this can be done?
