An automatic generated log file can be found after installation in the user's temp folder.
Is it possible to change the location/name of this log file (obviously WITHOUT the command line)?

No. As far as I know the /L command line parameter is the only way to control the name and location of the log file.

It is possible, however, to create a Setup.exe and have it pass a command line paramter to your MSI. Check the Releases view in the IDE. There's a property in the Release near the bottom called "MSI Command Line Arguments".
